Slutwalk Budapest 2012

RQAC joined on June 30th the  SlutWalk Budapest “to express solidarity with survivors of sexual violence, to protest social prejudices surrounding rape, to demand respect for our personal freedom and sexual self-determination and fair and respectful treatment of rape victims by the authorities and the media! We will let the whole city know:  NO MEANS NO! ”

100 women, lesbians and allies marched in Solidarity with Zsanett and Timea, and all the sexual survivors, forced into a legal system basically mysoginist and discriminatory for the victims of sexual assault.

Meeting point was in Deák square, in front of the evangelical church Route: Deák square–Andrássy–Oktogon–Liszt Ferenc square–Király street–Kisdiófa street–Klauzál square The march was followed by a (Hungarian-language) discussion in Pepita Ofélia Bar (5 Klauzál square, district 7) from 7 p.m.! Participants of the discussion: Mónika Szabó (social psychologist, gender theorist), Gábor Kuszing (psychologist, representative of the Association Against Patriarchy and the Stop Male Violence Project) and Nóra Kiss (SWBP organizer).
